I do like it but only three out of five because it wasn't like the one I see on TV. I mostly like the part when Willy Wonka proves Veruca salt wrong, but the funniest part was when Mike Teavee gets all mad at his parents and he runs around on his mothers hand. I think you should read this book because it is about a chocolate factory that is letting five kids see his chocolate factory with a big prize at the end.

Reflection: I learnt different things like we had to have our nails checked in the 1800s and now nobody needs to check them. I wouldn't like to be at school then, there was no internet! Brooklyn 04.06.19 Teacher Comment: Well done Brooklyn, you have compared schools then and now and justified your opinion on which you prefer. Ka Pai. Mrs Templeton 04.06.19
This term I have been learning to describe a scene To be successful I needed to use verbs to describe actions, adjectives, and select language features e.g. similes, onomatopoeia, alliteration etc. Reflection: I could use onomatopoeia easily like rustle, and whoosh. It was hard to write it like a poem but I managed with just a little bit of help. My favourite line is "...in the autumn months are magical like a beautiful rainbow." Teacher Comment: Well done Brooklyn, you used similes which were relevant and gave lovely pictures in my mind of what you could see. Some fabulous language choices. A super effort. Mrs Templeton
This term I have been learning to use arrays to solve multiplication and division Reflection: It was easy with the multiplication but not the division one. I put that into groups of 6 but couldn't figure it out but then I could do the multiplication and I know how to share the amount into equal groups. Brooklyn 21.05.19
