Learning to Describe Autumn Leaves

This term I have been learning to describe a scene
To be successful I needed to use verbs to describe actions, adjectives, and select language features e.g. similes,  onomatopoeia, alliteration etc.

Reflection:  I could use onomatopoeia easily like rustle, and whoosh.  It was hard to write it
like a poem but I managed with just a little bit of help.    My favourite line is "...in the autumn months are magical like a beautiful rainbow."

Teacher Comment:  Well done Brooklyn, you used similes which were relevant and gave lovely pictures in my mind of what you could see.  Some fabulous language choices.  A super effort.  Mrs Templeton

Howick Historical Village

This term we have been learning about living in the past in New Zealand.  It was very different in the classroom.

Using Arrays

This term I have been learning to use arrays to solve multiplication and division

Reflection:  It was easy with the multiplication but not the division one.  I put that into groups of 6 but couldn't figure it out but then I could do the multiplication and I know how to share the amount into equal groups.    Brooklyn 21.05.19

Well done Brooklyn- you showed great resilience by having a go and never giving up.  Keep up the great work.  Mrs Templeton  21.05.19
